Letter of the Day R

R is for Reds our favorite baseball team! This summer we have seen the Reds play 3 times and nearly every night on TV. Trey has continued every night to pray for players on the DL to get better. He sleeps with a Joey Votto doll. I think we are raising him right!

Joey had golf practice at the "Range" today so we decided to tag-a-long. Trey enjoyed putting after practice with daddy.

Tonight dinner was "Ravioli and Red Kool-Aid". Yummy! The picture looks yucky but it tasted great. We paid a little over a dollar a bag for Ravioli at Target using a mobile coupon.

Today's words: Reds, road, range

Tonight's Bible Story was the parting of the Red Sea with daddy. Trey loves this story. Mommy read the story "Hole in the Roof" when a paralyzed man was lowered from the roof to Jesus.

Letter of the Day Q

Today's letter of the Day is Q...an often neglected letter of the alphabet. Today's words of the day were: quick, quiet, quesadilla, and quarter.

We practiced being "quiet" at the movies today. We watched the $1 children series movie at the Gem: The Lorax. Trey loved it and it was the first movie all 3 of us got to go this year.

Trey did some "quick" pedaling today on his bicycle. He continues to improve on riding.

Tonight's Bible Story was Queen Esther. That was the first time we had read that story to Trey. It was a nice change from lion and giant stories!

Letter of the Day P

P is for Pizza! On our way home from worship and teaching at church today we stopped and picked up a box of pizza from our new favorite pizza, Jets. We had pizza for lunch and dinner...that's our kind of leftovers for dinner!

Today's foods were: pizza, Popsicles, and popcorn

Today at church in the Children's ministry (Connect Christian Church), the story was about Daniel not being afraid to pray. The lesson about praying was perfect for our letter P day!

Tonight's Bible stories were about Paul and Pharoah. Our 2 Letter P characters could not be more different. I love Trey's smile looking at his Bible!

Today's food was Chicken Noodle O's for dinner. We were not creative with our food options and forgot to pick up some Oreos as a snack. Overall, today was a fun family day!

The cousins had a great time playing together, eating, and going to VBS...we are truly blessed they get to spend time and grow up together! I love how they both had to take turns praying at dinner.

HT Super Doubles Day 2

Today was a quick trip and unfortunately I left some of my coupons at home. As usual some of the shelves were empty but that is to be expected.

Today's total was $1.60...and saved $45 dollars. Day 2 complete...not sure when I will go again because I'm running out of coupons to use. The boys were excited to get some tomatoes that were on mark down for .99 cents.

K is for Kannapolis

Today's letter is K. Honestly, this is the 1st letter that Trey learned. He used to say K is for daddy! His daddy has multiple shirts with the letter K to wear when coaching and practicing for Kannapolis.

Today's foods were: Kool-aid, Kiwi, and Kabobs. Trey loved the kabobs so much that he had to eat the food straight off the stick. It was a cheap dinner that totaled under $3(thanks to garden veggies, coupons, and Target mobile coupons).

Trey has a chalkboard wall in his room and today was the 1st opportunity we had to use it since his room was nearly completed. We practiced making the Letter K. We were very impressed with his writing tonight!

Tonight's Bible stories were King Darius and Daniel in the Lions Den(King ordered Daniel to the Lions Den). So our Bible stories were about Kings tonight.

Writing the Letter K

Yummy dinner: Kabobs, Kiwi, and Koolaid

Letter of Day L

Today's Letter of the Day is L. Trey enjoyed playing with some new Legos from Grandmother and Granddad when he visited in WV. He loves playing with Legos like his Daddy and Meemo.

Today's food options were Lemons and Limes. We also made a Lemon/ Lime Slushie that was very sweet and the only one that truly liked it was Mommy. Trey enjoyed eating a slice of lemon with his dinner.

Once again today, Trey enjoyed using his chalkboard wall in his room. Today was the 1st time we practiced writing L's today. He did great and enjoys writing.

Today's Bible story was David and the Lions Den. L is for Lion. Trey loves this story like most little boys!

Today's L words were Love and Lions.

Trey practiced making J's on his easel today while daddy cut the grass and mommy cleaned. (Mommy forgot to take a picture.)

His words of the day were: Joey and Uncle Jimmy, and the greatest J of all: Jesus!

Today's Bible stories were about Jesus.
This was a busy day because we worked on Treys room, Uncle Jimmy and Ethan visited, and VBS at church.

I is for Ice Cream

Today's Letter of the Day is I for Ice Cream. We love going to the Cabarrus Creamery and today was our first visit of the summer. Trey of course had to pick a green ice cream because green is his favorite color. I think he has a new favorite of mint chocolate chip like his mommy, Grammy, and Uncle Jimmy. Trey also had some Ice throughout the day for Letter I day.

Tonight Daddy and Trey read stories about the Israelites after Vacation Bible School. Trey loves the movie Prince of Egypt and loves reading about Moses and the Israelites.

Letter of the Day: H

Letter of the Day is H! Trey enjoyed some yummy food today: Hot dogs for lunch and Hawaiian Chicken for dinner. Our focus words of the day were: Hand, Helper, and Hot. Today's Bible Story was about Jesus Healing the sick.

Today was a Daddy morning while Mommy was working. Trey decided to "Help Daddy" with his bedroom remodel by helping fix a cabinet door on his bed. He loves being a helper!

Today's art activity was in the bath tub playing with shaving cream! Trey enjoyed making "Hand prints" with shaving cream on the bath tub wall. It took us forever to get him out of the bathtub and ready for bed.

This is the start of Trey's new sports bedroom. You can see his golf "hole" for his bedroom. He wanted to do the flash card game by his painted golf wall that Grammy did earlier today. We love it! Amazing work by Grammy! More pictures to come soon of his new big boy room!

G is for Garbage Truck

Our letter of the day is G. We didn't do great planning food options for the letter G with our busy schedule today. He had grapes, graham crackers, and gum today.

Trey loves Garbage Trucks so we made a garbage truck out of paper and added some tissue paper trash. He also read Trashy Town a new favorite book from the library.

Since Trey loves golf like his daddy, he decided to make a course in the living room because it is still too wet to play outside. He had his baseball helmet playing golf because we were watching the Reds on TV  We can't wait to watch him play Putt Putt Golf in Florida in a few days!

F is for Fireworks

This was truly a fun Saturday because we were able to go out for some errands and go to a Kannapolis Intimidators Baseball Game to watch Fireworks. We enjoyed eating French Fries, Fruit, and Fudge stripe cookies for dinner. Our focus words of the day were Firefighter, fish, and flag.

Our art project of the day was making a fish out of tissue paper and glue. I love tissue paper crafts to work on fine motor skills at school and to practice using small amounts of glue. While I made dinner, Trey focused and worked on his art project. He even suggested that we add water under the fish with blue tissue paper. ( I still find it funny that I still have at least 20 shades of blue tissue paper from baby showers 4 years ago...great project to reuse some tissue paper.) We decided to tape the picture on the glass sliding door because it looked like a sun catcher.

At the end of the day we headed to the stadium to watch some baseball and fireworks. When we arrived to the game daddy had just finished selling tickets and was able to join us to watch the game. After the game we enjoyed watching fireworks...or at least mom and dad enjoyed fireworks. Trey was not happy about the lights going out at the stadium and the sound of the fire works which he referred to as thunder. We made it through the fireworks but he was not excited like last year.

Our friend and Co-Worker takes amazing photos and captured the firework picture of the night. Photo by Matt McFaddin  Follow on Twitter @Wesnapphotos
